Since March, Mel B has been deep in divorce drama with her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte. After filing for divorce, asking for joint legal and physical custody of their 5-year-old daughter Madison, and requesting to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support, PEOPLE has confirmed that the 42-year-old singer has been ordered to pay $40,000 per month in temporary spousal support.
In addition to that stacked amount of temporary spousal support, the America’s Got Talent judge has also been ordered to pay “$140,000 in attorney fees and forensic fees on Belafonte’s behalf, PEOPLE also reported from court documents they obtained.
Since this news hit the public, B’s mother, Andrea Brown, has spoken out about the court’s order for temporary spousal support, calling it “disgusting.”
